Ms Chow presented a school case titled “Using e-Learning (Popplet) to enhance the teaching of writing” to demonstrate one of the pre-writing strategies – using mind mapping with the help of an e-tool (Popplet) to brainstorm / organize ideas with students. Dr. Bai, the host of the series of PD workshops, also demonstrated more strategies to teach self-regulated skills using different e-Learning resources. |

Dr. Barry Bai, the head of the QTN scheme, delivered a three-hour talk on introducing various reading and writing strategies for Primary teachers to adopt. These strategies were believed to be keys to help students learn self-regulating skills during reading and writing. Participants formed groups to co-plan teaching procedures of a text. |
